The Secret World: Losing Interest One Cash Shop At A Time

-Begin Nerd Rage-

When gaming is your hobby you come to expect to be let down once in a while.  I try very hard to not get overly excited about upcoming video game releases due to the fact that in this day and age it seems like the player community as a whole is always waiting for "the other shoe to drop" so to speak.  The Secret World just threw that shoe at my face.

Netflix Worth Watching - Ip Man

I have never been a kung-fu movie fanatic.  I have seen Enter the Dragon and other Bruce Lee films, but mostly just so that I could say that I have seen them and not out of any particularly deep interest in the genre.  When I stumbled onto Ip Man in the Netflix movie library the high review ratings got me interested, so I added it to my instant queue.

What a Weekend!!!

I don't know about you, but I had one heck of a weekend.  No, I didn't party hard and ride home in the back of my own truck like I did a few years ago, but there were quite a few big events this past weekend, and they didn't all involve my birthday.

The Secret World Beta Sign-Ups and Potential Release Date

It's not much of a secret (haha get it?....) that even with the upcoming releases of Star Wars: The Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, and TERA, the MMO launch I'm most looking forward to is that of The Secret World.  For those of you who feel the same way, Funcom has made an announcement at Gamescom 2011 that should really get your anticipation flowing.

Why I May NEVER Experience Gears of War

With millions of copies sold, it's safe to say that Gears of War is one of the most popular video game franchises out right now, and with the upcoming Gears of War 3 due out in September, it is also safe to say that the game's popularity is only going to keep growing.  Yet, here I sit, completely unable to experience what this game has to offer.

With Batman Arkham City right around the corner, I figured this would be a great time to finally play a game that I have been wanting to get into for a long time, Batman Arkham Asylum.

What's On: Thundercats

There are a few cartoons from my childhood that have forever made a home in a special place deep in my heart.  The Transformers and Voltron are two of the ones that seem so unrealistically perfect in my memories of days gone by.  The other that was always a step above the rest for me was Thundercats.

Jack Vasel Memorial Fund

Many of you are already familiar with Tom Vasel and The Dice Tower, and some of you are aware of the tragedy that struck the Vasel family earlier this year with the death of their new born baby boy, Jack.  The Jack Vasel Memorial Fund has been established to assist members of the gaming community in times of great need as a reflection of the outpouring of support the Vasels received during this tragic period in their lives.  Read more to see the video from Tom himself, and learn how you can help out.
